Today our group took part in a class activity designed to help us evaluate our project. We gained valuable feedback and constructive criticism. The results we got where interesting to look at.
one of the feed back results showed us a small continuety error that we have. we will aim to fix this b the end of the course.
looking at everyone else's filming, showed us that each group had put in just as much effort as us, and that the class is very talented. we gave each class feedback on there prject as well.
there were couple that needed more work on than others, but overall, each one was very good in there own way.

5th
today was the last day of the editing. we managed to finish the montage and also put all the text into the the video. we had to rename the name of our production company, from donkey punch productions to HYPE productions. this is due to the sexual nature of the word ''donkey punch'' and it was deemed inappropriate by our teacher.
we found out that it wasnt possible to put on the music we had decided as it is a youtube video(one of joshs friends from his previous school) and it is ilegal to download.
so we searched the soundtrack programe for a song that we could put over the video. we decided not to have one over the chase scene in the end due to the fact that none of the songs matched the genre of the film.

4th lesson editing
today we got the music for the pictures montage so that we could put it over the top.
we found a ''heartbeat'' that was just a drum from soundtracks, but it was the closest thing we could find.
for a flatline, we got chris to log into a website henis a member of, and download a flatline loop sound effect that we could put in at the end of the heartbeat.
we felt that the heart beat wasnt enough to just have, so we put some deep bass classical music just under it, so it sounded very effective for the film type, and gave the effect of a dangerous night and dangerous area.

3rd lesson editing
today we started doing the pictures for the montage.
during half term, josh went out and took some pictures from around wallington and carsholton area. these pictures matched the film well, and kept in tune with the genre.
to cut these we had to put them in as if they were a video, and cut them to around 4-1 seconds.
once we put these to then had to try and find some music to put over the top.
the music we wanted was a heart beat then a flat line so it gave an effect that someone had been killed.

2nd lesson editing
this lesson we started from where we left of last lesson, just by doing all the cutting.
we more or less finished the editing this lesson, now all we needed to do was to start doin the speeding up process which is needed in two parts of the 2 minute introduction to the film.
we managed to do this in the lesson, meaning that the film editing was done, all that was needed now was to put all the photos in the montage at the begining of the introduction and also put in the text and the sound effects.

1st lesson editing.
today we put the filming onto the computer for the first bits of editing. mainly this lesson we just uploaded the tape, and decided how we should cut and edit the film. after deciding what to do, we proceeded to start to cut pieces of work and input and output the different bits of film.
filming.
yesterday we did the filming for our film.
the 4 of us went to redhills cromwell estate to film for media. we all came in the appropriate costumes and had our props with us. in total we were filming for around 2 and a half hours. we managed to make sure that we did every scene 2 to 3 times so that we had a choice of which one looked best, so it could be put into the film.
our last scene was the most dangerous, as we had to film one of us being run over by jakes car. we attempted this twice. first time we planned to hit the person being run over at around 5 mph, so that we could speed it up in the final cut programe. this is hard as the person had to run even slower because of the speeding up process, so on the second shot we did it at about 10mph, this worked fine.
The filming was cut up,, and done by each of us at one point. most of the filming was done by beth, who handled the role very well. the acting was mainly left up to jake, josh and myself. we also did small bits of filming as well, but mainly just decided with what shots and how we should film, along with beth.
